Analysis: Stanisic provided the match-winning assist Saturday as his excellent cross in the 54th minute connected with Ante Budimir at the back post to take the 1-0 lead. It was the only chance he created in the match, but it was the most important moment of the game. He also played very well on the defensive end, recording four clearances and two interceptions and helping his side keep a clean sheet. Next up is a crucial matchup versus Ghana, with his side needing a win in order to finish second in the group.

Stanisic had one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 4-2 defeat versus England. He also won four duels and added a clearance, a blocked shot, an interception and two tackles.
Analysis: Stanisic was forced to cover the entire right flank in a 3-4-2-1 approach, and the results weren't good. He lost several individual duels and failed to pose much of an attacking threat. Croatia are expected to shift to a 4-2-3-1 approach for Tuesday's game against Panama, allowing Stanisic to return to his regular right-back role.
